'Fine trails of light growing into the dark,
Still in the shadow of perception –
The significance of light in everyday life.
But the lines are capturing the room and creating space –
for awareness.'
Fine shoots of light, that’s how it all begun. They arose from nature, the origin of all light.
Now they grow further into the architectural space. This time the branches are more abstract. Nevertheless the artwork takes the same very delicate, sensitive approach.
A play with the spatial perception. Usually defined by the light behavior on the different spatial surfaces and their edges. But here, beginning with complete darkness, the space is defined by the lines themselves. First the fibers span two-dimensional planes, as they wander over the edges, the third dimension evolves.
Planes of sound are the correlating component in the specially composed sound art installation. Together it creates an contemplative experience.
The aspiration is the specific use of light. Facing the challenge of the urban environment, also showing even more the importance of the night as a precious state of darkness. Only by the absence of light, it is possible to recognize the importance again and raise awareness of it.
A subtle approach, which is characterized by the understanding of lighting design. Holistically conceived even if it wouldn’t come into effect during the installation period – rather a contentual sustainability.
